Saxony, Kingdom. A Silver Merit Medal, With Swords, C.1915 United Republic of my gratitude for the help(Silberne Verdienstmedaille mit Schwerterspange). Instituted in 1905 by Duke Carl Eduard. (Issued 1915). A round silver medal, the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of Carl Eduard, circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse depicting a merit cross, circumscribed FIDELITER ET CONSTANTER (Faithful and Steadfast), on a broad ribbon attachment loop, with its period original ribbon and sword clasp, measuring 30. 38 mm in diameter, weighing
