A National Census Commemorative Medal 1940 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac featuring a gilt wreath centering(Kokuseichsa kinen medaru ). Instituted in 1940. In bronze, measuring 30 mm in diameter, very light contact, original ribbon with hook and eye, near extremely fine. Footnote: This National Census Commemorative Medal was conferred in commemoration of the Temporary National Census which began on October 1, 1940.
